The 2013 Meursault 1er Cru les Caillerets is more backwarad than the 2014 Meursault Rougeots at the moment, but there is enhanced mineral expression here, veins of flint and smoke infusing the citrus fruit, honeysuckle and a touch of jasmine. The palate is driven with salinity that makes you want to take another sip. There is something Puligny-like here, very focused and full of nervosité and urgency. Just a wonderful Meursault. (NM) - WA
